Laguna Building Company was founded with one goal: to build outdoor spaces that families are genuinely proud of. Based in Eugene, Oregon, we specialize in decks, fences, patio covers, pergolas, and custom outdoor structures — all crafted with the attention to detail you'd expect from a company that treats every job like it's their own home.
With over 10 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, owner Gavin and his crew bring a commitment to quality that shows in every board, beam, and bracket. We don't cut corners, we don't disappear after the deposit, and we don't stop until the job is done right. That's not a slogan — it's just how we operate.
Fully licensed, bonded, and insured, we serve Eugene, Springfield, Florence, Cottage Grove, and surrounding areas throughout Lane County. Whether you're dreaming of a sweeping cedar deck or a solid fence for privacy, we're the team to call. Reach out today for a free quote — no pressure, no runaround.

Laguna Building Company was born from a passion, a family legacy, and a stretch of California coastline that changed everything.
Our founder, Zach, grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and studied philosophy at the University of Oregon before discovering his true calling: building with his hands. He walked away from a conventional career and committed himself fully to the craft, developing something rare over the years, the ability to hold both artistic vision and structural precision in the same set of hands. He built a reputation among clients who valued his eye for detail and his commitment to creating spaces that are as strong as they are beautiful.
The name (Laguna) traces back to a pivotal home remodel Zach completed in Laguna Beach, California. The project was a success and became the spark that ignited the brand. When he brought his craft back to Oregon, that dual identity was woven into the Laguna logo, where palm trees and fir trees stand side by side, representing the two places that shaped this company.
Building has always been a part of the family. It started with Grandpa Gary, a mail carrier by trade, who spent his hours after work building homes for his family from the ground up, passing that spirit of craftsmanship down through the generations.
Today, Zach's son Gavin works alongside him as a partner, studying business and finance at the University of Oregon while helping take the company to new heights. Three generations of builders, two states, one company.
